Antto Luhtavaara is a Training Psychotherapist and a teacher at The Nordic Institute for Psychotherapy and Research, and teacher and Board Member at Foundation of Adolescent Psychotherapy that trains psychotherapists in collaboration with University of Helsinki. He has taught and consulted to a number of psychoanalytic institutes across Finland. He has written and taught about child and adolescent development, mourning, psychic working through through interaction, psychotherapy technique, relationships, and male and female development.

Sami Kivikkokangas is a psychologist (PsL), training and supervising psychotherapist at the Nordic Institute for Psychotherapy and Research, and doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki. He's a teacher and board member of several psychotherapy training boards in cognitive-analytic, integrative and psychodynamic psychotherapy orientations. He has taught and written on psychotherapeutic single case research and methodology, adolescent development, psychotherapeutic technique and relationship, vulnerability and shame, and developing new kind of self-agency through interaction.

Sanna Maliniemi is a clinical psychologist, body-orientated psychotherapist, training and supervising psychotherapist in cognitive-analytic psychotherapy (CAT). She works as a private practitioner, consultant and supervisor and teaches at Cognitive analytic psychotherapy training boards at the University of Helsinki. She has 20 years of work experience in youth psychiatry, including psychotherapy for adolescents and working with parents, social workers, schools and other professionals. Her areas of expertise include adolescence development, psychological integration, psychotherapeutic relationship and processes, body-orientated approaches and breathing in psychotherapy.

Niina Rita is a Specialist Psychologist in Health Psychology and an early childhood education professional. She is also an Adolescent Psychotherapist, a Training Psychotherapist (University of Helsinki), and a consultant and supervisor. Her areas of expertise include developmental and clinical psychology, adoption and foster care issues as well as psychic integration and analysis of fairy tales. With over 20 years of professional experience, she has published in peer-reviewed national and international publications. She is the second editor of the psychotherapy book of EFPP Finland 2021.

Kaisa-Maria Leskinen is a Clinical Psychologist and Training Child Psychotherapist (Therapeia). She has been actively leading and involved in training programs for psychoanalytic child psychotherapists, adult psychotherapists, and psychoanalysts in collaboration with the Therapeia Foundation and the Universities of Helsinki and Oulu. Her areas of expertise include infant observation, psychoanalytic developmental theory, early disturbances and bodily communication, and addressing adoption and foster care issues. She is the first editor and contributing author of the 30th-anniversary book of EFPP Finland (2021).

With dual master's degrees from the University of Jyväskylä and Manchester Metropolitan University, she brings an international perspective to her practice. She has extensive experience integrating neuropsychoanalysis and body-based techniques into her work. Her work is informed by collaborations with analysts worldwide, including experts from Sweden, South Africa, Germany, England, Argentina, Brazil, and China.

NIPRT combines psychotherapy research, training, and clinical work. We develop Dialogical Sequence Analysis (DSA) in collaboration with international partners and train psychotherapists with an integrative approach.
Our training combines the psychoanalytic tradition, cognitive-analytic psychotherapy, and the dialogical approach. We believe the best learning happens in a safe community where there is space to try, fail, and grow.
